In Search of a Name
Aderyn stomped down the street, seething. “Why won’t those guys just leave me alone?”
She paused at the corner, which way would be the best way to ditch the two nutcases with weird eyes. Apparently, she paused for half a second too long, because something in a leather jacket and a helmet launched at her from fifteen feet away, grabbing her and sending them both toppling to the ground.
“Idiot!” Aderyn snapped. She tried to push Mystery Girl off of her, but her arms had become tangled in some vines, so she set about trying to free herself.
The girl who forgot her name giggled. “That was fun! Let’s do it again!”
Aderyn let out a low growl as Thom jogged up to them.
“Something the matter?” he asked.

“Cool!” Mystery Girl walked along a fallen light post, balancing precariously on it, her hands swatting at the air as she tried not to topple over. “I’ve never been that far. Is it nice? Is it shiny?”
“I don’t know how to answer that,” said Aderyn, slouching her shoulders. How am I going to get rid of her?
This thought was put out of her mind when Mystery Girl picked up a rock and threw it at a window, shattering the glass. She clapped her hands. “Hah! That was fun!”
“Stop doing that!” Aderyn snapped when Mystery Girl picked up another rock.
“Why?” CRASH! Another window was smashed by a rock. “It’s fun!”
“Shut up!” Aderyn lunged forward, wrestling the rock from her grip. “You’re going to attract more monsters!”
“No, I won’t! They
